A future where girls see themselves in the solution.

To empower girls to overcome their fear of mathematics through engaging, supportive, and relatable learning experiences. By making math fun, accessible, and relevant, we aim to build confidence, spark curiosity, and equip girls with the skills they need to succeed in school, careers, and life.

Vision

Confident girls. Capable women. More possibilities.

To nurture a generation of confident and capable young women who see mathematics not as a barrier, but as a powerful tool for personal growth, academic success, and innovative thinking—driving greater gender equality in STEM and shaping solutions for a rapidly evolving world.

Our point of view

A foundation built around confidence

Girls’ Math Empowerment Foundation (GMEF) helps girls in Basic 2–7 build confidence, spark curiosity, and strengthen the skills they need to succeed in school, careers, and life.

Our teaching approach blends the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum with internationally acclaimed Oxford learning resources, ensuring learners receive a solid academic foundation alongside global perspectives and critical thinking skills.

We make mathematics fun, accessible, and relevant. Alongside maths learning, GMEF supports learners with educational materials, wellbeing activities, and community experiences that help them participate fully in learning.

How GMEF supports learners

Make mathematics engaging

We create learning experiences that make room for questions, practice, and the confidence to try again.

Support the whole learner

Learning materials, health and wellness activities, and community moments help learners arrive ready to participate.

Work with families and community

Lasting progress is stronger when learners, educators, families, and partners can play a part.

What guides the work

01

Confidence

Girls need room to ask questions, practise openly, and recognise what they can do.

02

Relevance

Mathematics becomes more approachable when learners can connect it to school, life, and future possibilities.

03

Belonging

Learning is stronger when girls feel supported by peers, educators, families, and community.

04

Partnership

Practical support grows through thoughtful collaboration with people who care about girls’ learning.
